Cleveland Clinic is recognized in the U.S. and throughout the world for itsexpertiseand care.As an RN on the Oncology Infusion team, you willassistpatients in their cancer journey by delivering exceptional care during their visit. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. The ideal RN for this role should be compassionate about oncology care and patients as well as knowledgeable of chemotherapy plans. This position is a steppingstone to becoming a Team Lead and offers the opportunity to become ONS and Oncology certified.
A PRN caregiver in this positionworks varying daysfrom800AM– 4:30PM
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate,updateand revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administerprescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess andcoordinatepatients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross
One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider licensed military RN experience
ONS Chemo/Bio course completed within two years of hire if employed on units where chemo is administered
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’sofScience inNursing (BSN)
Excellent IV skills
Knowledge of chemotherapy
