In this role, you will interact directly with patients,families,and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources,including furthering youreducation, committee participationand online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.
Acaregiver in this position worksdaysfrom6:45AM – 7:15PM, with weekend requirements
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate,updateand revise patient care plans.
Monitor,record,documentand communicate patients’ conditions.
Administerprescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess andcoordinatepatients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school ofProfessionalNursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross
Oneyear of current acute care RN experienceORlicensed military RN experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’sofScience inNursing (BSN)
