Job Description

Looking for a nursing role that takes you beyond the traditional clinical setting?

Join Healthcare Australia (HCA) and make a real difference by providing high-quality, person-centred healthcare while travelling across Australia and internationally.

As a Medical Escort Registered Nurse, you'll provide essential clinical care and support to individuals during domestic and international transfers, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and dignity throughout the journey.

This is a unique opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses who enjoy variety, are confident working independently and are flexible to travel at short notice.

How You'll Make an Impact!

  • Providing safe, high-quality nursing care during domestic and international transfers

We're looking for experienced and adaptable Registered Nurses with current unrestricted AHPRA registration and a minimum of 5 years' post-registration nursing experience. Experience in Emergency Department (ED), ICU or acute care settings is highly regarded.

You'll need to be an Australian citizen with a valid Australian passport (minimum 6 months' validity) and be flexible to travel domestically and internationally at short notice, with availability to undertake ideally one medical escort assignment per month, typically lasting 1- 4 days.

Previous detention or correctional healthcare experience is highly regarded but not essential.

Why You'll Love This Role:

  • Unique and interesting work – no two assignments are the same!
  • Domestic and international travel opportunities
  • Paid for the entire transfer period, including travel and downtime
  • Different pay rates apply depending on whether you're providing direct patient care or travelling without a patient
  • Opportunity to use your clinical skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment
