This unit offers a dynamic clinical setting with a broad patient population, providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen core medical-surgical skills and gain valuable experience across a wide range of patient populations including some trauma overflow.In this role, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice, including comprehensive assessment, care planning, implementation of individualized plans of care, and evaluation of patient progress toward expected outcomes. You will take primary responsibility for coordinating patient care as delivered by the interdisciplinary care team under your supervision and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.Working on the Med/Surg Overflow unit offers exposure to diverse clinical scenarios, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact while supporting hospital-wide patient flow and care excellence at one of San Diego’s leading healthcare organizations.This position is eligible for New Hires and Relocation Incentives up to $7k.The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:· Internal candidates· Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago· In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:· Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)· Must remain in original department/specialty· Must remain in original Job Title· Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.#LI-JS1
Required Qualifications:One (1) year of RN experienceCurrent CA Registered Nurse LicenseCurrent BLS from the American Heart AssociationMust be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in nursingOne (1) year of Medical Surgical RN acute care experience
