Providence Portland Medical Center’s (PPMC) Surgical Services team supports 21 operating suites and performs more than 12,500 inpatient and outpatient, adult surgical cases annually. As a leader in robotic-assisted surgery, PPMC offers advanced surgical care across multiple specialties, including general, bariatric, gynecologic, urologic, colorectal, orthopedic, neurosurgical, vascular, endovascular, thoracic, ENT, oral and maxillofacial, plastic, and podiatric surgery. Our program has a strong focus on complex cancer resection and reconstruction across multiple service lines.
PPMC is a leader within the Providence Health System in robotic surgery, performing among the highest case volumes across the da Vinci SP, Xi, and DV5 surgical platforms. As a regional referral center for colorectal, general, hepatobiliary, thoracic, and endovascular services, PPMC cares for patients from across Oregon, Southwest Washington, and the broader Pacific Northwest.
In this dynamic leadership role, you will guide a highly engaged team of approximately 160 caregivers, including six Associate Nurse Managers and a Surgical Services Supervisor, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and patient-centered care while driving operational and quality outcomes.
This is an exempt leadership position with a typical Monday-Friday day schedule, generally averaging 50 hours per week, with work hours varying based on operational and departmental needs.

Accountable for the overall management and leadership of a unit or a group of patient care units within Nursing Services. The Manager is responsible for all clinical and operational activities of the units in accordance with Providence mission, vision, and values.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
