• Years of Service Recognition ProgramOversees and is responsible for all aspects of daily assisted living facility operations.

Perform necessary coordination and delegation of clinical and managerial activities for Assisted living residents as directed, in order to accomplish the objective of quality client care.Works to create a supportive community environment in which patients/residents thrive. Ensures that quality care is provided to all patients/residents. Holds staff accountable to meet all mission, vision, and values of the company and follows corporate policies and procedures. Promotes a positive, team approach and a healthy work environment for staff.
Creates, reviews, and implements policies and procedures related to areas under direct control. Completes and assures required documentation and record keeping. Provides tours and explanations of services to potential patients/residents, families, and referrals. Maintains positive relationships with patients/residents, their families, staff, and the community. Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all patients/residents, their records, and tenants' living environment. Handles patient/resident and staff grievances and documents on appropriate forms. Collaborates with various other departments and external organizations.
Responsible for recruitment, retention, supervision, disciplinary action and termination of employees per corporate managerial structure. Assures the staffing coverage of the facility. Assures an adequate and compliant annual staff education plan. Understands and adheres to the corporate Vulnerable Adult and Abuse policy and Patient/Resident Bill of Rights. Demonstrates a sensitivity and aptitude for working with seniors. Demonstrates excellent leadership, judgment, and strategic planning skills. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently. Familiar with social and supportive services within the community. Willingness and ability to be on-call for emergency situations. Completes other duties as assigned.
Responsible to organize, teach, and supervise the training curriculum as directed. Will be responsible for meeting compliance requirements for state regulations governing senior housing and the certification process. Responsible for directing and implementing total case management for all housing clients on a regular basis. Includes personal care management, medication administration, care planning, scheduling physician visits, setting up appointments, and working with clients, families, home health services, county and state offices to assure client needs are met. Responsible to oversee and conduct specified training for clinical staff to meet regulatory requirements on an ongoing basis. Responsible for coordinating with nursing leadership to identify needs for additional staff educational topics through the performance improvement process. General knowledge of instructional and communication skills, and group dynamics is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).

Prior experience in housing, marketing/sales and occupancy management is preferred. Prior experience working with the senior population is preferred. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current trends and new developments in the Assisted Living Home Care/Housing field.
Thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care, and a working knowledge of administrative and management techniques.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA) instructor preferred.
