Job Description

Berkemeier Living Center

  • Provides leadership and direction to unit staff.
  • Provides 24/7 operational oversight to assigned unit(s), ensuring all practices and programs are aligned with the overall strategic plan of the organization and follow best-practice standards.
  • Provides direct nursing care according to professional standards and facility policy
  • Attends meetings and participates in committee and task force initiatives as appropriate to area of expertise.
  • Ensures legal and regulatory compliance throughout Department.
  • Ensures unit is operated with a high degree of fiscal responsibility.
  • Maintains and develops work-related knowledge and skills through continuous learning activities, attendance at in services and workshops, etc.
  • Completes special projects/tasks in support of effective department functioning as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • 2-5 years supervisory/management experience
  • 2 years acute care experience required
  • 2 years experience in long-term care preferred

Education

  • Current NYS Nursing License and Certification
  • BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required
  • Gerontology Certification is preferred

Pay Range


$95,000-$105,000 per year
