
The IC/PI RN under the direction of the Director of Quality/Risk Management, is responsible for supervising and coordinating the multiple facets of the Infection prevention program for acute care, Hospice and physician practices. As a delegate of the Environment of Care Committee, managing communicable patients, the infection control staff assure a high quality of patient care by eliminating infection risks to patients and personnel. Educates employees regarding infection control measures and isolation policy and evaluates the need for monitoring programs in any given area.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program required.
Minimum Work Experience
Three to five years experience as a infection control preventionist preferred
Required Licenses
Registered Nurse in good stating with Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact states
