William Newton Hospital (WNH) is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Winfield, KS with a proud heritage of excellence in patient care. Although WNH provides the latest in technology to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment, our strength also lies in the personalized, compassionate patient care not often found in a large medical center. In addition to acute care, the hospital provides same-day and orthopedic surgery, intensive care, labor and delivery, and skilled swing beds. Our emergency department is staffed with physicians 24/7. WNH has on-site respiratory therapy services and a clinical laboratory. Outpatient services include audiology, cardiac rehabilitation, wound care, diagnostic imaging, infusion therapy, laboratory, rehabilitation services, and many other diagnostic and therapeutic services.
The hospital provides primary care through seven rural health clinics in Cowley, Elk, and Chautauqua counties and an occupational health program to assist local business and industry. WNH has also developed cooperative arrangements with other providers for cancer treatment and renal dialysis.
Specialty clinics include cardiology, orthopedics, podiatry, interventional radiology, rheumatology, oncology, nephrology, neurosurgery, ENT, pain management, pediatrics, pulmonology, and urology.
