As a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, our Intensive Outpatient Program therapists provide direct clinical services - including assessments, interventions, treatment planning and discharge planning, as well as providing individual, family, and/or group therapy to further patient/family/group progress in treatment. At times, IOP therapists may be required to facilitate inpatient support.
The Nurse Supervisor provides supervision of all patient care areas I the hospital. The Registered Nurse Supervisor is required to have a working knowledge of hospital and nursing policies and procedures and the ability to apply independent judgement in their interpretation. The Registered Nurse Supervisor duties include the provision of managerial and clinical links between the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse manager and department direction in their absence. The Registered Nurse Supervisor promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Educational / Experience Requirements:
Minimum Associates Degree in Nursing. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in resident working state. Minimum of 3 years Registered Nursing experience. 2 years of leadership experience with team delegation, chart auditing, payroll and disciplinary action experience. Psychiatric nursing experience required.
Qualifications / Skills:
High stress and assess potential for patient escalation. Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to consistently achieve positive results with internal and external customers, be highly organized, have an understanding and sensitivity to serve culturally diverse and special needs population such as Chronically Mentally Ill, Geriatric, CD, be versed in basic knowledge of normal physical and emotional development. Exhibits critical thinking abilities and applies them for continuous improvement of patient care. Demonstrates self-confidence and ability to think conceptually in leading and directing others. Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner. Must successfully complete CPR certification and an Oceans approved behavioral health de-escalation program.
Work Environment:
Subject to many interruptions. Pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Might experience disagreeable odors, sights and/or unpredictable patient behavior. Requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
