As an RNon this team, you willassistfellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, frominitialintroduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients,familiesand visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.This position will be based out of EuclidHosptial, but will support Marymount and South Pointe as well.
A caregiver in this position works days| 8:00am—4:30pm| Monday—Friday| on-call| rotating weekends
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.
Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patientrecordsand notify physicians of abnormal findings.
Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
Establish care plans in collaboration with patients,familiesand the health care team.
Coordinate ongoing care,identifydischargeneedsandfacilitatedischarge planning.
Evaluate,initiateand maintain standards of care.
Educate patients and families.
Cover other nursing roles in the department.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing(ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)orAmericanRed Cross
*In areas performing moderate sedation procedures, must haveAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) orAmerican Red Crosswithinsix months of employment
One year of recent experience as an RN
OR LicensedRN with at least 2 years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department may substitute for required RN experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Two years of recent experience as an RN
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
