The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, patient-centered nursing care to individuals receiving diagnostic and therapeutic services across a variety of healthcare settings. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care while promoting patient safety, comfort, and support throughout the treatment experience. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and critical thinking skills are essential in this dynamic care environment. Experience in critical care is beneficial, while backgrounds in medical-surgical nursing with strong critical thinking abilities are also highly valued.

A caregiver in this positionworksfull-time 8 hour Day Shifts | hours and start times vary between 7am and 7pm | on-call evenings and weekends arerequired|

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings.

• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patientrecordsand notify physicians of abnormal findings.

• Perform telephone triage and call rotations.

• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.

• Establish care plans incollaboration with patients,familiesand the health care team.

• Coordinate ongoing care,identifydischargeneedsandfacilitatedischarge planning.

• Evaluate,initiateand maintain standards of care.

• Educate patients and families.

• Cover other nursing roles in the department.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing(Diploma, ADN or BSN program)

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)orAmericanRed Cross

• *In areas performing moderate sedation procedures, must haveAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) orAmerican Red Cross (withinsix months of employment)

• One year of recent experience as an RN

• OR LicensedRN with at least 2 years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department may substitute for required RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’sof Science in Nursing (BSN)

• 2 years of recent RN experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

• Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.

• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
