Position: Full-Time with benefits

Schedule: 72 hours every two weeks, 12-Hour Night Shifts (1900-0730) on varied days, including some holidays and weekends.

With over 138 beds and a wide variety of specialty services, this sprawling Encinitas hospital is designed to fit every patient’s needs.About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool, you’ll become an integral part of a highly engaged team providing exceptional patient care in a compassionate and welcoming environment. Our nurses thrive in a collaborative culture that prioritizes quality care and enhances the patient experience.ResponsibilitiesPatient Care: Deliver direct care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient progress towards expected outcomes.Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care and support for patients and their families.Leadership: Take primary responsibility for patient care, guiding the Care Team under your supervision to foster a team-oriented approach.As part of our site-based float pool (SBFP), you will have the chance to float among four major Med/Surg Telemetry units, gaining diverse experience while providing quality care.Join us at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas, where your expertise and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives of $7k for full time.The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:​Internal candidates​Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago​In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met​:Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)​Must remain in original department/specialty​Must remain in original Job Title​Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.#LI-JS1

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:One (1) year of RN experience.Current CA RN LicenseCurrent BLS Healthcare Provider through American Heart AssociationRegistered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.Excellent interpersonal skills.Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors. Preferred Qualifications:BSNOne year of acute Medical/Surgical RN experienceTelemetry or Progressive Care experienceOther Certifications: CMSRN, NIHHS Stroke Certification, ACLSEpic EHR working experience.
