
As a member of the Employee Health and Wellness (EH&W) team the RN supports clinical activities. The RN is responsible for coordinating annual influenza vaccination and Wellness Programs and other special programs under the direction of the EH&W Director and is responsible for clinical oversight of medical assistant.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for providing clinical support by assisting the director and all staff in maintaining health information, data, and facility security and safety.
Supports preventative health care initiatives and infection control measures by tracking employee status and immunizations for vaccine preventable diseases and administering adult immunizations to assure compliance.
Conducts pre-employment screenings including drug screening, vital signs, vision and hearing, immunization, and evaluation of pre-existing conditions and the need for appropriate accommodation.
Assists in return to work medical clearance and reports work status to appropriate parties to assure appropriate return with or without accommodation.
Performs fitness for duty assessment and referral as necessary to assure a safe work environment.
Develops, promotes and conducts Wellness Program screenings, clinics, and informational sessions to improve employee’s overall health and wellness.
Assists in the coordination of the annual influenza vaccination program with Employee Health staff, in collaboration with Foundation Medical Practice and hospital nursing units, to assure compliance with this mandatory program.
Conducts pre-placement screenings, reviews health history, evaluates pre-existing conditions and the need for appropriate accommodations per ADA guidelines, conducts physical assessments and educates new employees about FMLA/Leave Return to Work policies.
Obtains, tracks and monitors employee and/or spouse biometrics who participate in the wellness program compiling reports & data summaries related to employee health assessments & biometrics in collaboration with Human Resources.
Education/Experience/Licensure
Education: Baccalaureate in nursing or matriculation into a BSN program required.
Licensure: New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License. Certified in Occupational Health Nursing-Specialist required within 2 years of hire
Technical Certification: Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.
