In this role, you will help develop and support clinical education, orientation, competency validation, quality initiatives, and patient safety efforts for Home Health and Hospice. You will partner closely with clinical leaders and staff to ensure team members have the knowledge, tools, and support needed to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
This position is ideal for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, improving processes, supporting regulatory readiness, and helping teams grow in confidence and clinical excellence.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate and support clinical education, orientation, and ongoing competency development for Home Health and Hospice team members.
Assist clinical staff in acquiring, maintaining, and expanding knowledge related to clinical procedures, equipment, patient education, documentation, and specialty-specific care expectations.
Develop, implement, and evaluate education plans, training materials, tools, and resources based on identified needs, best practices, regulatory requirements, and quality outcomes.
Support the development and validation of specialty competencies for clinical staff.
Maintain and strengthen the preceptor model and related preceptor program components.
Provide coordination, tracking, analysis, and support for quality, patient safety, and performance improvement activities.
Use data, feedback, and needs assessments to identify gaps and support meaningful improvement efforts.
Serve as a resource, mentor, and consultant to clinical staff, leaders, and interdisciplinary teams.
Support a culture of evidence-based practice, accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate program documentation, records, tracking tools, and files in alignment with organizational policy and regulatory expectations.
Partner with department leadership to support clinical excellence, change management, regulatory readiness, and organizational goals.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
Qualifications
Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
Minimum of three years of teaching and/or leadership experience preferred.
Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
Certification in a related specialty and/or Nursing Professional Development certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of clinical standards, regulatory expectations, quality improvement, and patient safety principles.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and maintaining confidentiality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software programs as needed.
