The role you’ll contribute: The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of the related clinical activities.

PRINCIPALDUTIESANDJOBRESPONSIBILITIES

·Demonstrateseffectiveassessmentskillstoensurequalitypatientcareis provided.

·Performs and documents accurate initial assessment per unit standard which may include: initial observation, obtaining andinterpretinginformationintermsofthepatients'needs,safety,dischargeplanning,psych/social/cultural,familyneeds, multi-systemphysicalassessment,patient/familylevelofknowledgeandreadinesstolearnaboutdiseaseprocessandcare requirements. Reports appropriate information in a timely manner to responsible physician.

·Observesandmonitorspatientlabworkfortrendsandreportsabnormallabteststotheappropriatephysicianand obtains appropriate interventions.

·Utilizesclinicaldatatoimplementappropriate interventions.

·Performsanddocumentsongoingpatientassessmentwhichaccuratelyreflectspatients'physicalandmentalstatus ranging from child to geriatric according to unit standards and patient condition.

Initiates use of restraints per hospital policy and procedures. Demonstrates commitment in the use of safe and appropriatealternativespriortotheapplicationofanypatientrestraintdevice.Maintainscompetencyintheapplication, monitoring and care of the patient in restraints

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications

oAssociates Degree from an accredited school

oMust be a graduate of an approved nursing program.

oActive State Registered Nurse License

oCurrent AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

oCurrent AHA Advanced Life Support (ACLS)

oCurrent AHA NIHSS (If Applicable)
