RN (Diagnostic Imaging)
RN (Diagnostic Imaging) is responsible for assessment and response to patient care and needs during imaging procedures. The nursing position in radiology will work with technologists and physicians to assist with nursing guidance and protocols during imaging procedures.

Require: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), IL Registered Nurse (RN), ACLS, PALs within 1 year of hire, BLS within 90 days of hire
Pay: based on experience, starting at $35.43
Responsibilities
Assessment- Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation. Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data. , Collaborates with the attending physician and radiologists to provide necessary radiology and imaging procedures., Completes all required patient documentation to patient chart/record via the hospital information system., Coordination of Care- Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients., Diagnosis - Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues., Directs and guides other healthcare workers and assumes accountability for performance of nursing activities delegated to other workers., Establishes and maintains communication with patients, families, significant others, and health teams and promotes participation with regard to the plan of care., Evaluation- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. Reports data and outcomes to as appropriate to physician and/or other disciplines., Implementation - Implements care and supervises care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and approved safety and infection control standards., Knowledge - In collaboration with Leader/Director, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, reading current literature and seeking new clinical learning opportunities. , Makes decisions for care using the nursing process as a basis and takes actions that are consistent with standards for nursing practice and licensing laws., Manages an environment that promotes patient’s self esteem, dignity, safety, and comfort., Outcomes Identification - Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation., Participates in education of staff., Participates in evaluation of the patient care delivery system., Planning - Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes., Prepares patient for diagnostic and interventional procedures. Administers intravenous imaging contrast under the direction of the radiologists as needed., Provides conscious sedation support under the direction of a physician., Relationships - Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health care team. Identifies and confers with appropriate resources regarding patient care decisions., Seeks assistance when the situation encountered is beyond the nurse’s knowledge and experience., Serves as a patient advocate., Teaching - Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
