As an RNon the Code Blue/Rapid Response Team at Martin South Hospital, you will provide urgentmedical attentionto patients in danger of dying, often due tocardiac or respiratory arrest In this role, you will assess health conditionstodeterminethe best mode of treatment toinitiate,whether via CPR, intubation,defibrillationor medication administration. Your work is critical in ensuringpatient safety and positive outcomes, allowing you to make a difference in your community every day. APRNcaregiver in this positionworksvaryingnightsfrom7:00PM– 7:00AM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate,updateand revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess andcoordinatepatients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school ofProfessionalNursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS)certificationsthrough the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross upon hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association or ALS American Red Cross certification upon hire
One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting OR licensed military RN experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’sofScience inNursing (BSN)
Two years of experience in a critical care setting (e.g., Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit)
