Primary Duties and Responsibilities

You will offer guidance to team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will also assess patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical education and promote effective working relationships. This involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care instructions.

The Cath Lab Clinical Nurse embodies the essence of professional Registered Nursing, assuming both responsibility and accountability for patients within a designated time frame. Utilizing the nursing process and collaborative input from the healthcare team, the RN delivers comprehensive care. They exemplify the professional standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA), actively engaging in ethical considerations, educational endeavors, evidence-based practice, and research. Additionally, they champion quality improvement initiatives, demonstrate leadership prowess, foster collaboration among peers, evaluate professional practice, optimize resource utilization, promote environmental health, and advocate for patients as integral components of clinical nursing practice. Their role also involves the use of various medical technologies and equipment, including wall suction, defibrillators, oxygen tanks and regulators, ACT machines, point-of-care testing devices, procedure tables, hemodynamic physiologic monitors, infusion pumps, and interventional equipment such as IABP, Impella, and atherectomy devices.

*May rotate to Ronald Reagan, Santa Monica and West Valley Hospitals to provide support as needed. On-call responsibilities with the expectation of a 30 minute response time*

Salary Range: $70.59 - $106.80 Hourly


Job Qualifications

  • *Please ensure your resume and application clearly specify the unit(s) you have worked on as part of your work experience*


  • BSN or MSN – required
  • Current California RN license – required
  • Atleast 3 years of recent ICU, Cath Lab, Emergency Department or Procedural experience – required
  • ACLS, BCLS and PALS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association – required
  • CVRN or CCRN Certification required within 12 months of hire
  • Ability to cover on-call with a 30 minute response time
  • Knowledge of Hemodynamic physiologic monitor, and infusion pumps
  • Ability to operate interventional equipment included but not limited to EKOS, IABP Impella, atherectomy devices
  • Willingness to cross train to Interventional Radiology and cover outpatient areas
  • Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care
  • Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters
  • Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
  • Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
