About the Department
Heart Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
Our state-of-the-art Heart Catheterization (Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab is dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care. We operate two advanced labs, including EP labs, Vascular and Coronary procedures.
Case Volume:
Our team of highly skilled cardiologists, electrophysiologists, nurses, and technologists work collaboratively to deliver exceptional care, utilizing the latest technology and techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Assists the cardiologist in a variety of invasive and noninvasive procedures including (but not limited to) cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker implants, cardioversions, tilt table tests, electrophysiology procedures, ablations, implantable cardiac defibrillator implants, and percutaneous coronary interventions. Prepares patients for procedures, provides education and care according to age specific criteria. Prepares and starts intravenous injections and administers medications. Ensures the care, safety, comfort and satisfaction of the patient throughout the duration of their visit. Actively participates in a variety of operational and clinical activities to ensure department compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Participates in emergency, off shift, on-call rotations to provide 24/7 coverage including weekends and holidays. Performs duties in accordance with the mission, vision and service excellence standards of the organization.
