Bay Area Hospital is a 129-bed, acute-care, Joint Commission accredited regional hospital located in Coos Bay, Oregon, on the beautiful southern coast. We provide a unique opportunity for new graduates to join our friendly team as they embark on their new careers in nursing. With us, you will work with the state of the art equipment within a specialty population role that is the best fit for you!
Bay Area Hospital’s RN Bridge: Residency program is designed to support new graduate nurses with less than one year of experience in their role transition to the nursing profession, clinical practice, and the organization. This 9-month blended program provides new graduates with the necessary skills and techniques to manage patients safely, swiftly, and competently while introducing them to the professional role of the nurse.
Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, applies the nursing process to the care of patients. Teaches patients and significant others. Documents patient care in the medical record. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall care of the patient.
