Registered Nurse (RN) – AM Shift (Full-Time)

Willow Creek Health Care Center
Shift: AM Shift
Status: Full-Time
Pay Range: $42.00 $45.00 per hour
Must have a minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience – no new graduates, please

General Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the assigned shift. This role ensures that nursing services are delivered in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and professional standards to maintain the highest level of resident care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and care plans

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with daily clinical operations

  • Administer medications and treatments per established protocols

  • Accurately document assessments, care provided, and changes in resident condition

  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

  • Monitor nursing staff performance and ensure appropriate staffing levels during the shift

  • Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and survey readiness activities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs, incidents, and emergencies

  • Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse required

  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred

Licensure & Certifications

  • Current, active, and unencumbered California RN license

  • Current CPR certification

  • Knowledge of PCC preferred

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift

  • Ability to work with elderly, ill, and emotionally sensitive residents
