Job Description

Progressive Care units include Acute Medical Step-Down. In Progressive Care, there are opportunities for RNs to gain leadership experience through Preceptor, Clinical Practice Leader, Relief Charge and Quality Improvement roles.

As a not-for-profit acute care facility, Presbyterian Hospital is dedicated to the care of its patients and community. Presbyterian Hospital offers a wide range of specialized care – including heart health, women’s health, children’s health and neuroscience care.

The new Progressive Care tower at Presbyterian Hospital features:

• 11 stories and 335,000 square feet
• 144 all-private patient rooms with views
• Healing gardens and tranquil indoor spaces – including several green spaces where staff, patients and their families can rest their minds and refresh.
• Strategically designed, decentralized nurse’s stations that facilitate provider collaboration and access to patient rooms
• Spacious, private wellness rooms for breastfeeding employees
• An employee gym with brand-new fitness equipment

• The Acute Medical Step-Down unit at Presbyterian Hospital provides care for high acuity patients within a culture that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect.

As a Registered Nurse at Presbyterian, you’ll be eligible for:

• Night and weekend differentials
• Education differentials ($2.00/hour for BSN; $4.00/hour for MSN)
• Sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates
• Relocation assistance for qualifying candidates

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing or above required.
• *Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred
• Registered Nurse-NM
• *State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
