Raytheon Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for our Raytheon Multi-program Testbed (RMT) to join our Flight Test Operations (FTO) team. This role oversees RMT electrical engineering in support of RTX flight test programs and works closely with using program engineering and technical leads. This role is responsible for RMT electrical system integrity and resolving technical challenges to enable successful flight test execution. This role supports the RMT Chief Engineer in daily contact with multiple functions to provide technical leadership, guidance, and customer interface. The role also leads working groups, presentations, task progress updates, and technical meetings with contractors and personnel to provide our customers with system solutions. This is an on site role. This position can be based under FTO in El Segundo, CA or at our R27 hangar in Ontario, CA and includes occasional travel to Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for RMT electrical modification, cable design, procurement, test systems electrical integration, and approval processes for flight test execution

  • Electrical requirements development and unit/module procedures for Special Test Equipment (STE)

  • Oversight of electrical hardware integration and system verification for flight test integration, test, and sell-off

  • Lead electrical point of contact for FTO flight test engineering

  • Support aircraft modification readiness evaluations and coordinate customer airworthiness audits.

  • Perform and oversee Electrical Load Analysis in support of aircraft and test systems integration.

  • Support Integration efforts with aircraft maintenance, engineering, and operations activities to meet RTX flight test program milestones.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior experience

  • Experience decomposing specifications to system performance, interface, I&T, and V&V requirements

  • Experience with Integration and Test procedures; troubleshooting lab and system/software/HW stability issues

  • Prior experience with RMT electrical modification, cable design, procurement or electrical integration test systems

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Expertise in flight test electrical systems, system architectures, and with complex system troubleshooting

  • Expertise in flight test systems design, integration, test, verification and validation, and Special Test Equipment

  • Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience working classified and SAP programs

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
