About the Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity to join Metcash as an RMS (Retail Merchandising Services) Territory Manager – based in Gepps Cross.

Are you ready to drive sustainable wholesale and retail sales while strategically representing the best interests of Metcash, retailers, and vendor partners? We are seeking a talented Merchandiser to join our dynamic team and make a real impact.

In this Role

  • Negotiate terms with retailers and determine service levels, hours and frequency
  • Connect and liaise with key vendor partners to ensure opportunities are maximised for the vendor and retailers
  • Resource allocation of service hours and frequency by store, ensuring call cycle efficiencies
  • Train, coach and mentor merchandisers
  • Partner with the National and State Merchandise teams providing feedback and category insights
  • Assist with category strategies and range review execution
  • Negotiate merchandise funding to credit retailers for discontinued stock
  • Partner with the Sales and Project teams ensuring alignment to best serve and maximise opportunities for retailers

You’re Likely a Match If

  • Previous industry experience in the FMCG environment
  • Demonstrated success in influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders
  • Experience working to deadlines and managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with key stakeholders
  • A customer-centric mindset and the ability to deliver exceptional service.
