The Retail Supervisor is responsible for supervising the retail operations including but not limited assisting with merchandising; assisting with inventory management and loss prevention strategy. This position requires the ability to manage various responsibilities both behind the scenes and on the frontline. The supervisor will ensure that all aspects of the department run efficiently to maximize the guests experience, sales and profitability of each division. Permanent, full time position
Essential Job Functions
• Monitoring staff progress, setting seasonal goals and reviews during the year in coordination with the retail manager
• Assist with receiving and products import into RTP.
• Assist with visual merchandising of store
• Monthly and annual inventory checks for re-orders and follow the LP strategy.
• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Taking care of OH&S procedures, attending meetings, facilitating safe work procedures
• Make sure the store floor reaches expectations for restocking and overall appearance
Required Qualifications and Abilities
• Must be eligible to work in Canada – can provide SIN
• Post-Secondary Education in Business/Sales or Tourism considered an asset
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Supervisory role in retail.
• Comprehensive knowledge of resort retail operations and procedures.
• Passionate about mountain lifestyle and culture.
• Advanced computer skills in Excel, Power point, RTP, Microsoft Word is essential
• Communication and organization
• Detail oriented.
• Proven sales skills and experience.
• Able to perform heavy lifting
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Flexibility to work overtime or on call
• Able to meet deadlines and work with ongoing changes
