In addition to the inspection, testing and qualification, repair and maintenance of field tools, the R&M Specialist IV - Wireline role performs preventive & corrective maintenance, retrofit and upgrade on all equipment relating to wireline. The role performs these tasks using Company guidelines, technical work instructions, test procedures, schematics, engineering notices, and best practices to complete the scope of functions where required.
Responsibilities:
Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools
Maintains equipment, facilities, and work area in a presentable and safe working condition
Repairs equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, callipers, micrometres, or other measuring instruments.
Assists, performs, and may lead basic to complex troubleshooting, scheduled preventive maintenance and modificationson a wide range of electronic equipment, including data acquisition systems & down hole tools to determine the cause of failure, performs corrective actions following documented Company policies & procedures against their level of training & competence
Assists, performs, and may lead testing and calibration tasks of tools following documented policies & procedures against their level of training & competence
Identifies opportunities for improvement in regard to equipment, procedures, and documentation
Completes Work Orders, AIRTs, PFTs, Forms, Checklists, Repair Requests and ensures all relevant databases are maintained accurately
Complies with the WO labour time log by accurately clocking in/Out of WO (Work Orders) Time tracking system
Senior roles will ensure all field and workshop personnel follow the corrective and preventative maintenance procedures, ensuring all failures are followed up
Orders parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogues or approved suppliers according to Weatherford’s guidelines and procedures
Supports and complies with the LEAN initiatives and participates in the continuous efficiency improvement program of the facility.
Estimates costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures
Performs other duties and activities safely as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints of the job
Where required, will report all equipment failures and troubleshooting requirements to the R&M Management
Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
Required:
Minimum 5 years wireline experience at a similar level is essential
Experience of both electronics and mechanical
Preferred:
Experience of soldering
Qualifications:
Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical preferred
