Job Description

The Resource Manager – Financial Due Diligence plays a critical role in enabling high-quality delivery of FDD engagements by ensuring effective deployment of resources across live transactions and pipeline opportunities. The role partners closely with Partners, Directors, and Engagement Managers to manage capacity, utilization, and workforce planning in a high-volume, fast-paced deal environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Resource Management

  • Manage end-to-end resource planning and deployment for Financial Due Diligence engagements across sectors and geographies.

  • Allocate teams based on engagement requirements, including Transaction size and complexity, Sector specialization, Experience level and development needs, Independence and compliance considerations

  • Proactively manage capacity to support fluctuating deal volumes and seasonal peaks.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to FDD Partners and Directors on staffing strategy. Engagement Managers on short-term resourcing needs and escalation management. Practice leadership on workforce planning and utilization optimization

  • Prepare and present management information (MI) for leadership, including Capacity vs. demand, Deal pipeline coverage, Utilization risks and mitigation plans

  • Support achievement of service line utilization and margin targets.

Process, Governance & Transformation

  • Drive continuous improvement in resourcing processes, governance, and controls.

  • Support implementation and enhancement of Resource management systems, Dashboards and forecasting models, Standardized practice-level reporting

  • Contribute to practice-wide initiatives related to operational excellence.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, dashboards)

  • Experience with enterprise resource management tools (e.g., Certinia, SAP-based or internal RM systems)

  • Exposure to Power BI / Tableau reporting (preferred)

  • Strong data interpretation and scenario-planning skills

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Resource management, workforce planning, or practice operations (FDD resource management preferred.)

  • Strong understanding of Financial Due Diligence and M&A deal cycles along with Utilization, recovery, and margin drivers
