Pit Equipment Operator

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator. We are looking for equipment operators with experience operating loaders, rock trucks, graders, or dozers.
Responsibilities
• Operates heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
• Performs daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
• Operates controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled.
• Performs routine cleanings and maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
• Complies with PPE and safety requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Valid drivers license and clean abstract. Class 3 or class 1 license (Preferred)
• General construction experience
• At least 1+ year of previous experience

Work Environment
This is a field-based position on an active worksite. PPE is required including CSA certified steel-toed boots.
Hours of Work
Shifts are generally 8-12 hours in length, Monday-Saturday.
Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process.
