Job Description

At IPF Digital, we’re on the journey of becoming a skills-based organization – where your capabilities and potential matter more than job titles. We want to know what you’re great at, what excites you, and what you’d like to grow into. Not sure if you tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you.

About Team

As part of our Credit Risk HUB Team, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the technical foundations that power our decisioning systems across multiple markets. Working closely with both Credit Risk and our IT Development (Credit Feature Team), you’ll help shape the way risk strategies are delivered, automated, and improved — ensuring we make smart, fair, and efficient credit decisions.

If you’re eager to deepen your programming skills, enjoy problem-solving, and want to make an impact in a dynamic fintech environment, this is the perfect opportunity.

This role is based in Warsaw, with involvement in initiatives across all IPF Digital operations and markets

Here’s how you’ll put your skills into action

Risk System Execution & Technical Delivery

  • Able to translate credit risk strategies into system-ready rules and logic within decision engines (including SQL-based rule implementation).
  • Skilled at identifying issues, spotting opportunities, and acting quickly to ensure the timely delivery of technical solutions.

Data & Programming Literacy

  • Confident working with SQL and relational databases to analyse data, build queries, and support system integration.
  • Comfortable working with programming concepts and open to developing deeper coding skills through structured onboarding and coaching.

Solution Design & Testing

  • Capable of designing, documenting, and maintaining technical specifications, including data flows and rule logic.
  • Collaborative problem-solver who partners with IT developers to prepare test cases, test sheets, and ensures automated testing fully reflects business expectations.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Curious mindset with the ability to identify improvements in decision modelling tools, processes, and system performance.
  • Proactive in suggesting enhancements that strengthen credit decision quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Strong communicator who contributes actively in team discussions and cross-functional work.
  • Willing to share system knowledge, support colleagues, and maintain continuity across multiple markets and risk environments.

Prioritisation & Delivery Ownership

  • Able to manage competing requests, assess business impact, and contribute to effective prioritisation of projects and ad hoc needs.
  • Reliable and flexible, with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” when needed

Skills that will help you thrive:

Core Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with programming basics or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Intermediate Excel and SQL skills.
  • Fluent English and Polish.

Credit Risk & Decisioning Knowledge

  • Keen interest in learning credit risk concepts and how they translate into system logic.
  • Understanding of decision engines, rule harvesting, and decision modelling (or willingness to develop these).

Analytical & Problem-Solving Strengths

  • Ability to analyse data, troubleshoot issues, and translate requirements into technical actions.
  • Sharp attention to detail and a structured, logical approach.

Interpersonal & Collaborative Skills

  • Effective communicator, comfortable working across Risk and IT teams.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to sharing ideas and knowledge

We also know that experience counts – and we believe that the following can support your success

  • Experience implementing or supporting credit risk systems.
  • Exposure to digital financial services, fintech, or data-driven environments.
  • Practical experience with decision engines or rule-driven system configuration

Our hiring approach
As part of our skills-first recruitment process, you may be asked to
complete a practical work challenge. This gives you a chance to
showcase your skills, your way of thinking, and your problem-solving
approach – beyond what’s on a CV.
In the next steps, we’ll focus on getting to know you better through
conversations around culture fit and soft skills, to ensure we’re a
great match for each other.

What can we offer you?

  • Real opportunities for growth – enjoy access to a variety of internal learning and external development initiatives.
  • A fully free mental health platform with access to certified
    professionals: psychologists (including child psychologists),
    dietitians, business coaches, and physiotherapists.
  • Relaxed team integrations – kayaking, cycling, workshops, team
outings… we enjoy spending time together, and we make it happen
    regularly.
  • Move your body, clear your mind – you can use a Multisport card or use private health care coverage.
  • A truly international environment – we collaborate with teams from
Mexico to Australia. Sounds exciting? That’s just our everyday reality.

From office life

  • Company parking where you can book a parking place.
  • Weekly team lunches – enjoy vouchers to nearby restaurants (yes, sushi included!).
  • Brand new office in a prime location – Gdański Business Center in
Warsaw, just 5 minutes from Dworzec Gdański metro station. Inside: 3
types of coffee, ping pong, and a chillout room. Tempted?
  • Flexibility is not a buzzword – hybrid work model (2 days a week at the office) and flexible hours are our standard, not a perk.

Here’s how our team describes our culture

The culture at IPFD is driven by our shared values. People are
put first, we accept differences and encourage individuality. Due to our
flat business structure, we enjoy collaborating together. Enjoying some
good times together is also highly encouraged!

Sounds good? We all think so at IPF Digital.
