Join us for the position of Risk, Safety & Reliability Expert in our offices in Paris La Défense (92) or Saint Herblain (44).

Join a dynamic team
Within the Risk, Safety, Reliability & Maintenance team, you will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers with an international outlook. You will contribute to developing the company's expertise and capabilities in alignment with market needs. You will conduct studies on offshore units as well as on vessels with innovative installations (alternative fuels, sails, for example) and high technical complexity at various design stages (concept, basic design, detailed engineering, operational phase, etc.).

Your main responsibilities :

  • Conduct various types of qualitative risk studies in workshops with clients such as Hazard Identification Analysis (HAZID), Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS), etc.
  • Participate in reliability studies such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments and Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) studies.
  • Participate in modeling studies to assess the consequences of leaks (fire, explosion, gas dispersion, thermal radiation) as part of Fire and Explosion Risk Assessment (FERA) and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) studies, using dedicated software (PHAST, Safeti).
  • Participate in optimization studies for inspection and maintenance planning (for example, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)).


Occasional travel to client sites (Shipowners, Shipyards) in France and abroad.

Your assets for success :

  • Education: You hold a degree as a Merchant Marine Chief Engineer or alternatively an Engineering degree with specialization in risk management or expertise in mechanics, dependability or industrial maintenance.
  • Professional experience: At least 7 years of experience onboard vessels or offshore units.
  • Technical knowledge: Solid technical and operational knowledge of machinery and processes onboard vessels (particularly in the LNG field or other alternative fuels) or on offshore units.
  • Tool proficiency: Knowledge of maintenance management software (CMMS) or accident scenario modeling tools such as PHAST and Safeti is a plus.
  • Passion for technical subjects: You have a strong interest in technical challenges and appreciate collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Personal qualities: Organization, rigor, technical mindset, teamwork spirit, autonomy.
  • Excellent communication skills: Your writing and interpersonal abilities enable you to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and clients.
  • Language skills: You are able to communicate fluently in English with our clients, teams and international network.
