Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Operational Risk Management Framework in line with Bank policies, SAMA regulations, and Basel standards.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and report operational risks across the Branch while maintaining the Operational Risk Register.
  • Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying control gaps and recommending improvements.
  • Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), operational incidents, and loss events, perform root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Review new products, services, projects, and major business changes from an operational risk perspective.
  • Prepare operational risk reports, recommendations, and management updates.
  • Follow up on Internal Audit, External Audit, and regulatory observations to ensure timely implementation of agreed actions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of new SAMA and Basel requirements on the Branch.
  • Support Operational Risk stress testing, scenario analysis, Business Continuity Management (BCM), and Disaster Recovery initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and update of Operational Risk policies and procedures, provide risk advisory support to business units, and promote risk awareness through training and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Operational Risk within the banking or financial sector.
  • Good knowledge of Operational Risk principles, SAMA regulations, and Basel requirements.
  • Professional certifications in Risk Management (e.g., CORM, CORP, or equivalent) are preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively across departments.
