About the role
At DUAL, we believe risk management works best when it’s practical, embedded and genuinely supports the business. As the Risk Officer, you’ll play an meaningful role in strengthening and evolving our risk management approach across DUAL ANZ, working closely with teams to help them understand risk, improve controls and make confident decisions.
Sitting within our Legal & Governance team and reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, this role partners across the business to embed our risk and compliance frameworks in a way that feels relevant, proportionate and commercially aligned. You’ll be hands‑on supporting the uplift of internal controls, improving and documenting key processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that make a real difference to how we operate.
You’ll also support risk and compliance reviews, assessments and clear, meaningful reporting for senior leaders and the Executive Leadership Team. Above all, this is a role for someone who enjoys collaboration, problem‑solving and helping build a strong risk culture in a dynamic underwriting environment.
About you
You’re a thoughtful and commercially minded risk professional with 3-5 years’ experience in a risk role who enjoys working close to the business and building trusted relationships. You bring a solid foundation in risk and compliance, with experience applying risk frameworks and internal controls.
You’re comfortable analysing information, identifying gaps and working with stakeholders to improve outcomes, and you’re able to communicate risk in a clear, practical way that resonates with both technical and non‑technical audiences. You balance structure with pragmatism, understand the realities of a fast‑moving underwriting business, and are motivated by the opportunity to help teams manage risk well while supporting sustainable growth.
