YOUR ROLE

The Bunkering Risk Manager leads and consolidates the financial and economic risks associated with Energy & Bunkering activities and provides an aggregated view of the department’s exposure, performance and risks.

The Risk Manager is a key contributor, working alongside the VP to manage Oil, Gas & CO₂ risk, purchasing performance and hedging strategies. The Risk Manager oversees day-to-day risk and performance matters in coordination with the Purchasing, Operations, Hedging and Management Control teams.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

  1. Risk Management – Oil, Gas & CO₂
  • Oversee and consolidate Oil, Gas & CO₂ exposures.
  • Analyze market, operational and geopolitical risks and develop the associated stress tests.
  • Manage internal Risk Committees and monitor the implementation of decisions.
  • Prepare risk analyses for Management and oversee the deployment of Risk/CTRM tools.
  1. Hedging Policy
  • Define and recommend hedging strategies in coordination with the VP and the relevant Managers.
  • Prepare hedging mandates for submission to Top Management.
  • Oversee position monitoring and compliance with mandates.
  • Challenge and consolidate the recommendations and strategies proposed by the Front Office teams.
  1. Performance & Finance
  • Define the energy purchasing performance model and manage the main financial KPIs.
  • Coordinate the Budget, Forecast and PFA exercises.
  • Oversee financial reporting and analyses key variances with Management Control. Ensure an appropriate level of Group reporting.
  • Lead performance reviews and challenge financial and operational assumptions.
  1. VP Support & Governance
  • Provide a consolidated view of the department’s Risk, Finance & Performance activities.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for the VP and Executive Committee.
  • Perform the economic and financial analyses required to support decision-making.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, energy markets and hedging instruments.
  • Fluent English is essential.
  • More than eight years of experience in Risk Management within a trading company, finance function or similar environment.
  • Significant experience in Oil, Gas and/or CO₂ markets.
  • Experience in defining or managing hedging strategies.
  • Experience in risk analysis, exposure scenarios and stress testing.
  • Experience in preparing reports and recommendations for senior management and Executive Committee audiences.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and make sound decisions.
  • Strong analytical, synthesis and executive communication skills.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Team management and situational intelligence.
