The Risk Manager, in this role, and under direct supervision of the Director, Supply Chain, will manage the key tasks defined below

This role is responsible for leading and enhancing supplier risk management processes, with a strong focus on leveraging corporate tools such as Resilinc, COFACE, and the Supplier Pressure Test framework. The position combines strategic process development with hands-on data analysis to drive proactive risk mitigation across the supply chain.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead and enhance supplier risk management processes, focusing on the Supplier Pressure Test and Resilinc platform integration.
  • Analyze and interpret supplier risk data, leveraging Power BI, Snowflake, and other analytics tools to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and refine reporting and dashboards that link Pressure Test outputs with Resilinc and COFACE insights.
  • Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and global commodity teams to guide mitigation strategies and escalate risks.
  • Drive follow-up actions with plants, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely risk mitigation execution.
  • Support development of a more proactive and predictive risk management approach across the organization.
  • Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on risk tools, data interpretation, and best practices.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management/Engineering/Business Management Required
  • 5 plus years of purchasing or program management experience working in an automotive production purchasing/GSM environment, with exposure to supplier risk management.
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) a plus

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to work with data tools (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake).
  • Ability to translate data into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills - Position interacts with all levels of BorgWarner/Supplier Management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, eRFQ, Web based Intranet Systems, MRP systems knowledge a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated/directed. Required to determine most, if not all, of own work assignments; both tactical and strategic. Requires minimal management input to achieve objectives.
  • Experience with risk platforms such as Resilinc and financial risk tools such as COFACE is a plus.
