Step into a specialist risk role where you influence how Marketing & Growth identifies, manages and responds to risk, enabling confident decision‑making and strong outcomes.


The role

The key focus of this role is to embed effective Line 1 risk management practices across the Marketing & Growth business unit, aligned to UniSuper’s Enterprise Risk Framework. You will deliver practical risk insights, support informed decisions, and strengthen risk awareness across day‑to‑day operations and change initiatives.

  • Drive risk management capability across Marketing & Growth, building awareness of risk, controls and process improvement.
  • Champion UniSuper’s risk management framework, policies and risk appetite measures
  • Develop and maintain risk profiles, coordinating control assurance and tracking action plans
  • Deliver operational risk reporting and execute Line 1 control assurance reviews
  • Monitor, track and report on risk events, incidents and compliance obligations
  • Partner with business teams and Line 2 Risk Advisory to uplift risk maturity and outcomes


About you

You bring strong operational risk experience and enjoy partnering with stakeholders to improve how risk is understood and managed. You are analytical, confident influencing others, and motivated by delivering clear, data‑driven insights.

  • Demonstrated Line 1 or Line 2 risk experience within banking, financial services or a similar environment
  • Extensive experience in controls, process management, and assurance activities
  • Ability to influence, consult and build effective relationships at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to risk and assurance outcomes
  • Experience delivering clear reports and insights to senior and operational leaders
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Risk Management or a related discipline
