Position: Risk Manager

The Risk Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the companys risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, credit, and compliance risks within the NBFI sector. The role ensures the organization operates within regulatory guidelines while supporting sustainable growth and sound governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the companys risk management framework, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and monitor key risk areas, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, and compliance risks.
• Lead the credit risk assessment and portfolio monitoring process to maintain asset quality and minimize potential losses.
• Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk reporting for management and regulatory submission.
• Ensure compliance with the Financial Regulatory Commission (FRC) requirements and other relevant regulations.
• Work closely with business units to integrate risk management practices into lending, investment, and operational activities.
• Prepare and present regular risk reports and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities related to risk and compliance.
• Promote a strong risk awareness culture across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Risk Management.
• 3+ years of experience in risk management, credit risk, or compliance within an NBFI, bank, or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles, credit analysis, and regulatory frameworks in the NBFI sector.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in risk modeling, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to travel and work in Kazakhstan.
