Parsons are seeking a highly experienced Risk Manager to lead risk management functions for large-scale landscape and road infrastructure projects. This role requires deep expertise in risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and reporting for complex construction programs.

The Risk Manager will lead all aspects of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation for complex landscape and road infrastructure projects. This role requires extensive experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to ensure effective risk management, robust governance, and successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience, including proven success in managing project risks across multi-million– or billion-dollar landscape and road projects. The Risk Manager will ensure proactive risk monitoring, mitigation implementation, and alignment with project objectives, contributing to safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans and procedures for landscape and road projects.
  • Establish risk registers, reporting protocols, and governance frameworks in alignment with project objectives.
  • Ensure integration of risk management with cost, schedule, and quality control processes.
  • Facilitate risk workshops with project teams to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analyses, including probability-impact assessments.
  • Develop contingency strategies and mitigation measures for high-priority risks.
  • Track risk triggers, assess mitigation effectiveness, and escalate critical issues to project leadership.
  • Provide regular risk reports, dashboards, and KPIs to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Support decision-making through data-driven risk analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to embed risk-aware decision-making.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government authorities on risk-related issues.
  • Support claims prevention and early-warning systems through proactive risk management.
  • Enhance risk management tools, reporting platforms, and digital analytics for project monitoring.
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness and proactive mitigation across multidisciplinary teams.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management, or related field. Master’s preferred.
  • 15+ years in risk management for landscape, road, or infrastructure projects, including at least 5 years in senior roles.
  • Expert-level understanding of risk management frameworks, quantitative/qualitative risk analysis, and mitigation planning.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6, project controls software, and digital risk tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to influence multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of contract requirements, procurement processes, and claims mitigation.
  • Professional certifications: RMP, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with large-scale multi-phase landscape and road projects.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract standards.
  • Ability to lead risk workshops, scenario planning, and predictive modeling.
  • Strong business acumen to translate risk data into actionable project decisions.
