DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To be the source of reference within the Group/Dept. in facilitating and promoting the
understanding of OR and compliance requirements.
2. Lead and support implementation of OR initiatives for the Group/Dept.
3. Proactively communicate with the GH/DH and BORM on operational risk issues.
4. Escalate significant events to GH/DH /BORM/Business Head as appropriate.
4. Coordinate and consolidate operational risks/issues and loss reporting of the group/dept. for
the reporting to the BORG through the GH/DH and BORM. Ensure data accuracy and
completeness.
5. Design and implement control measures and monitoring plans for compliance and
operational risk management. Ensure effectiveness of controls for compliance monitoring
and risk management.
6. Undertake and/or coordinate periodic business monitoring (self-assessment) activities within
the Business Unit and escalate findings and or breaches to GH/DH and BORM, when they
occur through the self-reporting tool.
7. Ensure risks and issues identified are resolved in an appropriate and timely manner.
8. Assist BORM in the implementation of OR framework or other relevant OR initiatives.
9. Identify gaps and conduct staff training on OR and compliance for all staff in group/dept.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
First degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, entry level banking experience
EXPERIENCE
0 - 2 years’ minimum experience working in assurance, compliance or related financial services area, Experience in the implementing and advisory on compliance programs
