Job Description

Do you like bringing structure, control and clarity to a fast-growing international investment platform? This role gives you the opportunity to make governance practical and valuable.

Build the future of investments at ING

ING is expanding its investments platform internationally. That growth asks for clear governance, strong controls and scalable ways of working. As Risk & Governance Specialist, you help keep the investment proposition well controlled while enabling countries and teams to move forward.

What makes this role different?

  • You help shape how ING governs and scales its international investment services.
  • You work at the intersection of investments, risk, service management and technology.
  • You get ownership of topics that matter for both control and growth.
  • You work with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.

The team

You will be part of the CoE Investments Processes team within the Global Investments Tribe. The team drives investments operations processes, driving harmonization, operational excellence and sustainable growth of investment services across our ING countries.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Coordinate risk, governance and control activities across the Investments domain.
  • Help translate requirements from Risk, policies and IT into practical ways of working.
  • Own and improve business role and authorization models, including role reviews and access governance.
  • Support assessments, audits and follow-up actions with clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.
  • Coordinate service governance with countries, including service reviews and follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Identify gaps and improvement opportunities that help make the investment platform more scalable and well controlled.

How to succeed

You are structured, proactive and pragmatic. You understand that good governance is not about adding complexity, but about creating clarity, ownership and confidence. You can work with senior stakeholders and specialists, keep momentum on follow-up actions and make abstract requirements concrete.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in a related field
  • Experience in financial services, investments, asset management, banking or another regulated environment.
  • Affinity with risk management, governance, control frameworks or user access management.
