By integrating and applying risk and compliance framework into the Ikano Retail process, not only do we do it right from the start, but we also secure a more efficient and risk-aware organization resulting in better performance. The Risk and Compliance Manager leads and inspires the store team, co-workers, and external security guard service to optimize safety, security, and compliance in the store for both the customer, and co-workers, using the knowledge of IKEA Safety and Security Manual, Rules, and Standard operating procedures.

To lead the deliverables of the Risk and Compliance agenda to ensure a healthy working environment, where risks are mitigated and functions are supported in identifying, assessing, and proactively handling risks to ensure compliance with IKEA Safety and Security rules and local (country and regional) legislation

Requisitos

  • Work together with relevant stakeholders to:
    1. To ensure business process compliance, i.e. standard operating procedures compliance.
    2. To identify the business unit or country-specific safety & security hazards, and process gaps and incorporate preventive, protective, and control measures, and programs to address identified risks.
    3. To define, establish, and implement operating procedures, and standards that are properly connected with the relevant local authorities, IKEA requirements, and working routines.
    4. To ensure the safety and security operating systems are developed, designed, and installed to meet IKEA requirements and local legislation.
    5. To ensure the adaption of internal and national requirements to meet IKEA’s safety & security intended level of protection.
  • Take an active role in the design and build-up stage or rebuild of the store to support the implementation of the IKEA safety & security requirements.
  • Provide expertise on and responsible for the development of training materials for co-workers and external partners to meet IKEA’s risk appetite.
  • Responsible for the education and training administration of risk knowledge, and working methods, including audits, reports, and maintaining/filing records as required.
  • To lead and drive risk topics regarding potential operational challenges in the units including implementation of the crowd management plan, traffic plan, process gaps, and risk exposure.
  • To ensure the unit is meeting compliance requirements by achieving positive results for all internal and external audits such as Sec Check, insurance review, Wecheck, process audit, and authorities’ inspections.
  • To develop an action plan for administration in the store, in consultation with the department managers, line managers, and Ikano Retail Risk & Compliance Manager, and ensure that it is operationally implemented in line with Rules and SOPs.
  • To Coordinate with the store Emergency Response Team and management for the handling of any emergency cases and provide appropriate actions according to the Store Emergency Management Plan.
  • To represent the IKEA brand with outside agencies (e.g. Police, fire brigade, external guard services companies, etc) and update store management and Ikano Retail Risk and Compliance Manager of any regulatory changes to ensure the viability of these relationships.
  • To drive a Risk & Compliance culture by developing leadership with a conscious approach to identifying and implementing systems to detect, analyze, and reduce business loss, and financial impact, and prevent incidents and accidents. i.e. Risk assessment of various processes.
  • To develop a compliance process in the store to identify, together with the department managers in the store and the Ikano Retail Risk and Compliance Manager, improvement potentials. Report on a tertial basis the store compliance status to the Ikano Retail Risk & Compliance Manager.
  • Educate and empower all co-workers and external service providers on all aspects of the Ikano Code of Conduct, Anti-corruption & Bribery Policy, operational procedures, and local legislation relating but not limited to health, safety and security, and the environment, cultivating a culture of transparency and ethical conduct.
  • Accountable for investigation and reporting of internal and external incidents and accidents in line with IKEA and local legislation requirements, recommending resolution and revision of routines as necessary.
  • To co-ordinate, the insurance claims procedures. Liaise with Ikano Retail Risk and Compliance Manager, insurance brokers, and local insurance companies, as required. Conduct root cause analysis to reduce incidents from recurring.
  • Improve sales results by partnering with business unit stakeholders to ensure inventory accuracy and detect sources of shrinkage. Identify areas prone to fraud and ensure adequate controls are in place.
  • Be the initial point of contact when fraudulent activities or unethical behaviors (including but not limited to harassment, and co-worker misconduct) are suspected or identified.Investigate if required.
  • Act as a responsible partner internally and externally, committed to creating a positive impact on people and the planet by taking relevant actions that contribute towards our long-term sustainability objectives.
