Risk Consulting – Senior Consultant to Director – EY MENA

Enterprise Risk, Financial Services Risk Management, and Digital Risk for Senior Consultant, Manager, Senior Manager, and Director hiring across MENA.

Our Risk Consulting professionals support clients across a broad spectrum of risk disciplines including Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), Financial Services Risk Management, Technology Risk, Cybersecurity, Digital Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Business Resilience, and Risk Transformation.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help clients build trust, enhance resilience, improve operational effectiveness, manage evolving regulatory requirements, and accelerate business transformation initiatives.

Working across diverse industries including Financial Services, Government and Public Sector, Energy, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Consumer Products, Industrial Products, and Emerging Technology sectors, you will contribute to solving some of the region's most complex business challenges.

Your Key Responsibilities

Depending on your grade and area of specialization, you will be expected to contribute across the following areas:

Client Service & Delivery

• Support and lead risk consulting engagements across the MENA region.
• Assess business, operational, technology, financial, cybersecurity, and regulatory risks affecting organizations.
• Design, develop, and assess governance, risk management, compliance, and control frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments, internal audits, control reviews, maturity assessments, process evaluations, and gap analyses.
• Support clients in enhancing enterprise risk management, operational resilience, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, and technology governance capabilities.
• Develop practical recommendations that improve governance, strengthen controls, and enhance organizational performance.
• Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and executive-level deliverables.

Stakeholder Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Work effectively with multidisciplinary EY teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor by providing insights on risk management, governance, compliance, and transformation initiatives.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and executive leadership teams.

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and mentor engagement team members across multiple projects, appropriate to grade level.
• Support coaching, performance development, and knowledge sharing within the practice.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.

Business Development

• Support business development activities, proposal preparation, market initiatives, and client pursuits.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and enhance service offerings.
• Contribute to thought leadership and market growth initiatives across the Risk Consulting practice.

Technical Excellence

• Stay informed about emerging risks, industry trends, technology developments, and regulatory changes.
• Build expertise across one or more of the following areas: Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Governance Risk & Compliance, Financial Services Risk Management, Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Technology Risk, Cybersecurity & Digital Risk, Risk Analytics, Program & Project Risk, Business Resilience, Controls Transformation, Third-Party Risk Management, and Risk Governance & Reporting.

Expected Focus

Senior Consultant

Deliver workstreams, perform analysis and documentation, develop client deliverables, and build technical expertise with increasing client exposure.

Assistant Manager / Manager

Manage workstreams and teams, oversee delivery quality, timelines and stakeholder expectations, coach junior team members, and support proposals and business development.

Senior Manager

Lead complex engagements, manage senior client relationships, drive business development opportunities, develop people, and strengthen practice capabilities.

Director

Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, lead major transformation or regulatory programs, drive account growth, build executive relationships, and contribute to the strategic direction of the Risk Consulting practice.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Risk Consulting, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Governance Risk & Compliance, Technology Risk, Cybersecurity, Financial Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Banking, Financial Services, Professional Services, or related fields.
• Experience managing client engagements, risk assessments, transformation initiatives, or regulatory compliance projects appropriate to grade level.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Willingness to travel across the MENA region as business needs arise.

Professional Certifications Preferred

One or more of the following certifications would be advantageous: CIA, CPA, ACCA, CA, CFE, CRMA, GRCP, PRM, FRM, CFA, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CGEIT, PMP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or other relevant industry certifications.

Arabic language skills are considered advantageous across many MENA opportunities.
