Job Description

The Susquehanna Co-op Program gives you an opportunity to apply what you learn in class to real world business scenarios. As a Risk and Controls co-op, you’ll help us understand where risks exist in our day-to-day operations and how to manage them.

Susquehanna co-ops will work with teams across the firm to review processes, test controls, and support practical improvements that reduce risk in a fast-moving environment.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Look at workflows and processes to identify risks and control gaps
  • Help design and improve controls that are simple and effective
  • Test controls and flag anything that isn’t working as expected
  • Work with teams across departments
  • Take on additional related projects as they come up in the department

What we’re looking for

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Access
  • Prior experience with VBA and SQL a plus
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written); ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external vendors
  • Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry or completion of finance- or investment-related coursework a plus
  • Probability and Statistics background a plus
  • Visa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future
