This position of Risk and Compliance ITApplication owner is opened to reinforce the support activities provided to the Risk and Compliance departments, around specific applications, primarily from the provider sas.com.

The role involves providing comprehensive oversight of all IT activities related to Risk and Compliance applications, including business analysis, project management, implementation, and ticketing management, with a strong emphasis on new technologies and information security.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Business analysis
    • Identifies needs, streamlines processes, translates them into technical solutions to improve stakeholder lifecycle management.
  • Day to day support
    • Analyse release notes and assess potential system impacts (e.g., functionalities dismissed, changed or new).
  • Write complete technical specifications.
  • Project Management:
    • Plan, track and oversee the development and implementation of Risk-related deliveries worldwide.
  • Depending on new business requests, manage them autonomously, from business analysis to UAT to final implementation in production environments, as far as possible.
  • Manage daily support for end users, ensuring that issues and problems are addressed and solved properly, either independently or with the help of dedicated provider teams.
  • Create or adjust data models using SQL queries and SAS reports. Develop extractions and new end-user reports.

Skills and experience:

  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Bank Industry knowledge required with typically 10+ years of experience in a field of private banking or similar experience in financial services environment.
  • Proven familiarity with full software lifecycle.
  • Proven ability and experience in IT Service Management.
  • Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills to work on problems of diverse scope and proactive and assertive approach to escalating issues and collaborating with relevant teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiar to work with distributed technical and business teams.
  • Enhance relationship and network with senior internal colleagues within and across departments.
  • Independently leads projects.
  • Works independently, seeking help from external provider teams on complex issues as needed via dedicated contract support.
  • Knowledge of SAS Asset & Liability Risk Management solution is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 applications, Windows Server and Linux environments
  • Good knowledge in relational database queries and modelling.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of Java, Python, PowerShell is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and spoken (B1 or First Certificate), French is a plus, knowing that the location is Geneva.
