Job Description

The Risk and Compliance Analyst is responsible for promoting a culture of risk and compliance by executing the Company's risk and compliance strategy.Will perform compliance testing related to applicable regulatory requirements and evaluate enterprise risk through risk identification and analysis.Expected to identify, assess, and report on findings and process improvements noted during execution of testing and monitoring as well as present findings and results of testing to process owners and compliance management.Will have significant interaction with key business process personnel and management.


Responsibilities

Design, plan, and conduct risk assessments around specific regulations and related processes. Perform compliance testing, work in conjunction with Risk Audit teams to validate compliance risks, audits, testing, reporting, and remediation.

Evaluate compliance risk through analysis, risk identification, monitoring and consulting on various projects and initiatives.

In partnership with Risk and Audit teams, assist on initiatives and special projects including monthly trend reporting, analyses of issues, performing root cause analyses, and remediation for issues not being addressed timely or completely to ensure compliance.

Work with management to establish an appropriate compliance culture throughout the company such as:direct, on-going consulting with stakeholders, review and assessment of documents, business practices, and procedures including training content against compliance requirements. Promote understanding of key regulations by translating compliance and legal requirements into business requirements and by educating various business units and team members in applicable, relevant federal guidelines.

Assist in the development and/or review policies and procedures, as appropriate.Maintain corporate compliance policies and review procedures to ensure the firm abides by the necessary rules and regulations.

Assist with the preparation, coordination, and execution for regulatory examinations, bank audits, and regulatory action items through meeting attendance, information gathering, and issue follow-up; manage examinations including assisting regulators with understanding business functions and providing relevant information in partnership with Corporate Legal.


Education

Required: Bachelor's

Preferred: Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Other Applicable Business, Liberal Arts or Science Degree

Language

Required: English

Experience

Required: 1-3 years of experience in compliance, legal field, and/or other related financial or corporate settings. Legal Research, Business or Technical Writing, Reporting, translating regulatory requirements into business requirements.Strong technical audit and/or compliance testing skills, advanced data and analytical skills, and strong project management skills to ensure they are able to conduct multiple projects and business interactions concurrently. Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook or Cognos or other reporting tools. Understanding or exposure to risk or crisis management. Works well under pressure.


Preferred: Prior experience in the collections/financial industry
