Our client, a leading semi state organisation, is seeking a Risk Analyst to join the Mechanical division in Dublin. This is a technically focused role supporting fleet and engineering risk across maintenance and project environments. The successful candidate will bring strong quantitative risk expertise, heavy industry experience and the ability to operate within a regulated safety critical setting.
Responsibilities
• Identify and assess technical, safety, financial and regulatory risks across engineering maintenance and project activities
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk assessments using recognised methodologies
• Develop and apply risk models to evaluate potential scenarios and project impact
• Produce clear risk reports with practical mitigation recommendations
• Support development and implementation of risk mitigation and contingency plans
• Monitor evolving project conditions and update risk registers accordingly
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory frameworks and internal policies
• Provide data driven insights to support scope, budget and programme decisions
• Promote a strong risk management culture across engineering teams
Requirements
• Qualification and proven experience in risk assessment and risk management
• Technical background within heavy industry or engineering environments (Rail preferred)
• Demonstrable experience using structured risk methodologies such as FMEA, Fault Tree or Bow Tie
• Strong analytical and statistical capability
• Knowledge of regulated safety critical environments and relevant standards
• Ability to communicate complex risk findings clearly to technical stakeholders
