Job Description

Risk Analyst Officer

The Junior Risk Officer supports the risk management function by identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks associated with automobile financing products. The role involves credit risk analysis, portfolio monitoring, and ensuring adherence to internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Risk Assessment & Analysis

  • Assist in evaluating creditworthiness of customers applying for auto financing.
  • Analyze financial statements, income documents, and credit reports.
  • Support risk profiling of retail and SME clients.

2. Portfolio Monitoring

  • Monitor the performance of the auto finance portfolio.
  • Track delinquency trends, defaults, and early warning signals.

3. Policy Implementation

  • Apply internal credit and risk policies during financing approvals.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating risk procedures and frameworks.

4. Data & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate risk databases and documentation.
  • Generate dashboards and reports on risk exposure and KPIs.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with credit, collections, and finance teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management (highly preferred), Finance or Accounting.
  • Pursuing professional accounting qualification (CFA/CPA/ CA or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Islamic finance is highly preferred.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in audit assurance risk, credit analysis, or banking

Skills

  • Understanding credit risk and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with Islamic finance concepts (Murabaha, Ijara).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Power point)
  • and reporting tools.
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
