Analyses risk to business activities and operations. Identifies areas of potential loss or damage for current and proposed business and financial operations, processes, structures, and cyber-risk exposure and quantifies impact. Implements and evaluates compliance with business and cyber risk-reduction policies, processes, and standards. May participate in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Supports organizational processes and programs for mitigation of financial risk, including administration of insurance. May support and administer security and health/safety programs in addition to risk management activities.

Job Duties / Key Accountabilities

  • Analyse data to better understand potential risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment
  • Create reports, summaries, presentations and process documents to display results as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyse and present data
  • Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
  • Conduct research into potential clients and understand the risks of accepting each one
  • Identify economic and financial trends that may present a risk to the company

Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge

Required

  • One to five years of experience as an analyst in a similar company or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analysis programs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and programs at the same time to complete work
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data
  • Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts
  • Knowledge of programs/tools such as Backoffice’s, CRM
  • Presentation skills, including public speaking and presentation creation using PowerPoint or a similar program

Desired

  • Possess good knowledge of technical tools such as financial, analytical, accounting, and statistical tools
  • Having knowledge of bank regulation and different categories of risk is essential
  • Ability to make use of complex modeling techniques
  • Ability to maintain excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage risk
  • Ability to use financial models which in turn provides a clear picture of the decisions taken
  • Create a risk level that the company is capable of handling
