Job Description

What’s the role?

As part of the Financial Crime team, you will play a key role in managing customer risk, with a focus on high-risk and politically exposed customers (PEPs). You will take ownership of investigations, carrying out detailed due diligence and producing clear, practical risk assessments that support decision-making and meet regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end case investigations, including ECDD and executive summaries
  • Assess and document customer risk, ensuring outcomes align with AML/CTF requirements
  • Produce clear, well-structured investigation findings, including rationale and recommendations
  • Engage with Business Units, Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders to gather information and progress cases
  • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, uplift controls and reduce financial crime risk
  • Contribute to consistent, high-quality outputs across the team


What do I need?

You will be a detail-oriented and analytical thinker who can confidently manage complex, high-risk cases in a fast-paced environment.

  • Sound AML/CTF knowledge, with experience in financial crime investigations or ECDD (desirable)
  • Proven ability to assess risk and apply sound judgement in complex scenarios
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate outcomes and recommendations
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across multiple business areas
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
  • Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset
