Job Description

We are working closely with a local authority in Slough to assist with the appointment of a RIS Registered Manager, on a 6- months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £243.46- £329.00 per day



The RIS Registered Manager (Interim) is responsible for leading and managing the Reablement and Independence Service (RIS), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred, outcome-focused reablement services that enable adults to regain independence, improve wellbeing, and reduce reliance on long-term care. Working in partnership with the Occupational Therapy (OT) Service Manager and the Head of Service – Short Term Services, the role will support the development of a unified, integrated "One Service" approach that promotes recovery, safe hospital discharge, and strength-based practice.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead service audits and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting systems, and regulatory documentation
  • Ensure mandatory and specialist training remains current and compliant.
  • Ensure care plans include proportionate risk management measures.
  • Represent RIS at internal and external meetings.
  • Maintain emergency contingency arrangements, including effective on-call management.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
  • Management qualification or NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent management qualification).
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Eligible to become or act as a CQC Registered Manager.

Essentials:

  • Significant experience managing community-based adult social care, rehabilitation, or reablement services.
  • Experience working as a Registered Manager within a regulated community care service.
  • Experience supporting adults with chronic conditions, frailty, disabilities, and complex co-morbidities.
  • Understanding of quality assurance, governance, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of integrated working across Health and Social Care.
  • Knowledge of information governance and confidentiality requirements.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
